Brad Bernstein

Brad Bernstein is an assistant professor of pathology at Harvard Medical School and Massachusetts General Hospital and an associate member at the Broad Institute. His research focuses on epigenetic modifications to histone proteins and their roles in mammalian development, lineage specification and disease pathology. Toward this end, his laboratory is developing high-throughput tools to map histone modifications patterns across chromosomes and using these tools to interrogate the epigenetic state of pluripotent and committed cells. Genetic approaches are also being applied to the functional characterization of the modifications.
