Cynthia Morton
Cynthia Morton is the director of the Cytogenetics Division at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, a professor of pathology and the William Lambert Richardson professor of obstetrics, gynecology and reproductive biology at Harvard Medical School and an associate member at the Broad Institute. Her research interests include the use of evolving techniques in molecular cytogenetics to address chromosomal rearrangements in constitutional and acquired human disorders. Her laboratory focuses on gene discovery in human development, uterine fibroids and various other human neoplasms. Another primary interest is to identify genes involved in deafness and hearing disorders in humans and to characterize these disorders using mouse models.
