Gavin MacBeath

Gavin MacBeath is an associate professor in the department of chemistry and chemical biology at Harvard University and an associate member at the Broad Institute. His research focuses on understanding how cells receive and process information. Using protein microarrays and other high-throughput technologies, his laboratory acquires systematic and unbiased information on protein function and on how proteins are regulated as a function of cell state. His group then uses this information to model the behavior of protein interaction networks and intracellular signaling networks, with a particular focus on synaptic signaling and signaling mediated by receptor tyrosine kinases.
