Jennifer Baldwin


Jennifer Baldwin, M.B.A.

Jennifer Baldwin is director of the Genome Sequencing platform at the Broad Institute. In this capacity, she oversees high-throughput sequencing, finishing, production informatics and project management.

Jennifer worked at the Whitehead Institute/MIT Center for Genome Research, now part of the Broad Institute, from 1997-2000. During her tenure, she served in various leadership roles including, project manager for the SNP consortium project, coordinator of the finishing team, and manager of a laboratory training team for the first sequencing scale-up.

Upon completing her M.B.A. in 2002, Jennifer returned to the Broad Institute and served as project manager for the final phase of Human Genome Project and, more recently, as assistant director of the Genome Sequencing and Analysis program.

Jennifer received her M.B.A. in 2002 from Yale School of Management and B.S. in biology from James Madison University in 1994. She has co-authored eight publications in peer-reviewed journals, including Nature and American Journal of Human Genetics.
