Diane MacDonaldi

Diane MacDonald is chief financial officer at the Broad Institute. In this role, she oversees financial and administrative matters and works directly with scientific staff to incorporate resource planning with scientific planning.

Diane worked at the Whitehead Institute/MIT Center for Genome Research, now part of the Broad Institute, from 2001 to 2003. She served as director of financial planning and budgets.

Prior to joining the Broad, Diane served as the director of finance and operations for Health Care For All, Inc. and Community Catalyst, Inc., to navigate a new strategic partnership including adjoining the administrative functions of the two organizations. She also spent over ten years at the City of Boston, Office of Budget Management, capped with a 3-year stint as the City's Budget Director in charge of a $1.6 billion operating budget and $1 billion capital plan. She has also completed financial management and program analysis engagements as a project consultant to government and nonprofit agencies.

Diane received her M.P.A.-U.R.P. from the Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs and B.A. from Eisenhower College.
