What's New?

Release of Assembly version 5.0 and gene set version 5.0 - 1/4/2006

Magnaporthe grisea sequence release 5.0 represents both a new assembly incorporating the results of an automated gap filling process as well as automated annotation (gene set version 5.0). The gap-filling process used is the first stage of producing a finished M. grisea genome sequence. To view the new release information, please visit this site: Magnaporthe grisea Release 5

Release of Magnaporthe grisea gene set version 4 - 10/31/2003

Gene names were updated to reflect the latest guidelines from NCBI. Changes were made to the invalid gene calls that had internal stop codons. If possible, the structure of these genes have been modified to reflect a valid gene prediction, otherwise, the gene prediction was removed. 2 gene predictions were also added to our putative gene set. See Release 2.3 Details for more information.

Release 2.2 - 7/25/2003

We have modified our Gene Naming guidelines to be less conservative, resulting in changes to the names of 3605 genes. None of the underlying gene structures have been modified, nor have contig sequences have been modified from release 2.1. See Release 2.2 Details for more information.

Release 2.1 - 1/9/2003

We recently improved our gene calling software, and this resulted in 17 genes being modified, 2 existing genes being deleted and 3 genes being added to our putative gene set. Our gene set now contains 11,109 genes. See Release 2.1 Details for more information.

We have also identified and clustered repetitive elements in the genome, and these can be searched and displayed using the "feature search" tool for repeat features.
