Notes regarding haplotype map
Block 11 was not part of the original scan but added later to show more convincing dropoff in association to Crohn's disease
The last marker in block 6 (IGR2222a_2) is equally valid as the last marker in block 6 or the first marker in block 7 as the major historical recombinant in that region is between two haplotypes identical by state at that marker. Additional data we've collected since the time of submission might suggest that the recombination is more likely to have taken place before that marker and not as shown above. The inability to resolve some obvious historical recombinants to a single interval is commonplace and reflected in the fact that the majority of other map intervals with non-zero estimates of historical recombination (between 0 and 4%) are adjacent to intervals shown above.
