Eric Lander named one of "America's Best Leaders"

U.S. News & World Report has published its yearly list of "America’s Best Leaders" and Broad Institute director Eric Lander is among those recognized.

In a series of profiles and essays appearing in the magazine’s current issue, "America’s Best Leaders" highlights some of the country's foremost current leaders. While celebrating these individuals and their achievements, the magazine also explores the critical elements of leadership in the 21st century.

The project was undertaken in collaboration with the Center for Public Leadership at Harvard Univerity's John F. Kennedy School of Government, whose mission is to further leadership for the common good through excellence in leadership research, education, and development.

Other individuals and institutions recognized this year by U.S. News & World Report include former justice of the U.S. Supreme Court Sandra Day O’Conner, City Year co-founders Michael Brown and Alan Khazei, Teach for America president and founder Wendy Kopp, Institute for Healthcare Improvement founder Donald Berwick, and The Algebra Project founder and president Robert Moses.
